Rachel Greene’s poems have made many people cry, some laugh, and inspired some to have long, thoughtful conversations. Rachel has a degree from the Evergreen State College in social sciences and food systems and worked as a peer tutor at Evergreen’s writing center. She was a cast member of Evergreen’s 2011 production of Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues. Rachel’s work touches the heart of social and environmental issues and she uses her poems as tools for advocacy. Her poetic activism has been featured in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Her poems have appeared in Vanishing Point. Rachel currently coordinates support groups and science education programs for low-income girls in Olympia.
